Gretchen Gilbert, 66, passed away July 23, 2026 in her home with her husband and three children by her bedside. She was born November 5, 1959 in Minneapolis, MN to Sander and Marian Olson. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kim Olson.

Gretchen is survived by her husband, David Gilbert of Springfield; son, Tim Gilbert (Lindsay) and their son Thomas of Ballwin, MO; daughter Kelsey Grammer (Geoff) and their children Eleanor and George of Chesterfield, MO; son, Michael Gilbert of Brentwood, MO; brother, Matthew Olson (Sally) of Boulder, CO and their children Sterling Olson of Seattle, WA and Nora Cooke (Matthew) of Boulder, CO and sister-in-law, Bridget Olson and her son Jacob of St. Peter, MN.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Friberg officiating.
