Gregory A. Yeazel was born May 26, 1963 in Omaha, Nebraska and died August 1, 2017 in his home in Lake St. Louis, MO, after a decades long struggle with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy).  He was the beloved second son of John D. and Janice K. Yeazel.  He was in the Logan Rogersville High School class of 1981 and the Missouri State University Class of 1986 and was a proud Lamda Chi Alpha.  Gregory was a diplomat and master of the gentle art of persuasion and lived his life with loving kindness to his family and friends and will live in our hearts forever.

Gregory is survived by his son, Alec Gregory Yeazel; daughters, Ashley and Samantha Yeazel of Lake St. Louis, MO; former wife, Toni Yeazel of Dardenne Prairie, MO; brothers, John Yeazel and Jim Yeazel of Springfield, MO; and Jeff Yeazel of Chicago, IL; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Gregory moved with his family from Chesterfield, MO to Springfield, MO in 1978 and was an accomplished fisherman, water skier and outdoorsman before his SMA disablement, which he suffered privately without complaint.

Father Tom Kiefer will celebrate Requiem Mass in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Springfield, MO on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 10 AM and interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Springfield, MO.  Arrangements are under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
