Gregory Van Forrest, strengthened by the sacraments of the Holy Church, rose peacefully into the loving care of God on March 15, 2020.  Born in Portsmouth, VA to the late Tipton V. and Charlene Forrest. Survived by loving wife Peggy (Coring) Forrest, five children Brandon Forrest, Christy Forrest, Meagen (Daniel) Mallory, Jonathan Forrest and their mother Peggy Brooks Forrest, Kiley Forrest and her mother the late Melissa Forrest; grandchildren Noah, Hannah, Marin, Barrett and Remi; and many, many friends throughout the country who loved him dearly.

Gregg loved the game of baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, golfing, God and his country. Gregg served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Gate of The Temple Lodge, an Abou Ben Adhem Shriner and Hospital Dad.

Gregg was a kind and loving friend to all, his spirit created warmth. Gregg was passionate about his life as a friend of Bill W. Gregg's example of love and service will live forever in our hearts.

Due to the community spread of COVID-19, and the CDC guidelines, services are now pending and will be held at a later date.
