So many hearts were broken on May 18, 2021, due to the passing of Greg Blair. He passed away peacefully in Fair Grove, after a 9-month battle with cancer. Greg was a beloved son, father, and brother, Greg was so loved and a great friend to everyone, always willing to lend a helping hand.

Greg was born August 22 1961, to Don and Lois (Roper) Blair, he graduated from Fair Grove High School in 1979 where he excelled in football for the Eagles.  His employment included Premium Beverage, Greene County Road and Bridge, and the last 20 years worked construction for Bill Davis Homes and Rentals.

He was preceded in death, by his father, Don Blair, his maternal grandparents, Wilbert and Jean Roper, his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Edith Blair, his second Dad, Bill Davis, and his granddaughter, Bristol.

Greg is survived by his mother, whom he dearly loved, Lois Davis, his brothers Bryan, Springfield, Mo and Todd, Fair Grove, Mo. His sons Geoffrey (Alicia and her children, Braylee and Beau) Nixa, Mo, and Tyler, Springfield, Mo. His life partner Teresa Gammon, her daughter Audrey and Audrey's daughter Gracie, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.

Greg was a fun-loving, "Life of the Party" kind of guy. There was never a dull moment when Greg was around. He enjoyed going to the races, working on racecars and flipping houses with his Mom, but his greatest joy was spending time with Teresa, family, friends, and his beloved dog, Buddy, on the Hard 6 Ranch.

The Roper Family will greatly miss our Holiday get-togethers with Greg, because we could always count on him to say Grace, in his most eloquent and colorful way.

The family looks forward to sharing remembrances of Greg at a Celebration of Life, on Saturday afternoon, June 19th, 2021 at 3 p.m. at the Wommack Mill, 38 South Main, Fair Grove, Mo.

Lois and his family would like to thank Teresa for her loving care during Greg's illness and we will always be grateful that he was able to spend his final days at their home.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice in Greg's memory. At Greg's request, his ashes will be scattered at the Hard 6 Ranch in Fair Grove, and the River House in West Plains, Mo.
