He pastored churches in Dalton, NE, where his son was born, and for many years in Columbus, NE.
Gordon had numerous hobbies, including hunting, fishing, and most of all, camping. He, Marie and Doug traveled all over the country enjoying the beauty of most of the states and national parks. Inspired by his exchange student son, Tomas Matre, he and Marie traveled to Norway where they enjoyed the beauty of the country. They always said they wanted to return.
