Gloria Jean Fewell, 82, was born on June 17, 1931 in Clinton, MO to Douglas and Mary Shockley Sr. She grew up and attended school in Clinton, MO. There she met and married the love of life, Howard Clayton Fewell Sr., in love they raised nine children. Gloria departed this life peacefully on May 4, 2014 at 11:40 pm. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Howard Clayton Fewell Sr.; parents, Douglas and Mary Shockley; her three brothers (Doug, Larry and Bobby); her daughter (Annie); and her grandson (Tolando). She leaves to mourn, her sisters Joyce (Milton Jr.), Mary; her brothers Joe (Michelle), Richard (Deb) and Flynn (Maureene); her children and spouses Carletta, Howard Jr (JoAnn), David, Marti (Jim), Steve, Douglas (Gayla), Tony (Shannon), Yolanda, Eshan and son-in-law Barry; 42 grandchildren, 1 grand dog (Angel), 51 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, May 9, 2014 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home at 1947 East Seminole, Springfield, MO. The service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Deliverance Temple, 2101 West Chestnut, Springfield, MO, followed by burial at Antioch Cemetery in Clinton, MO. Remembrance donations may also be made to The American Cancer Society and/or The American Diabetes Association.
