Glenn Alexander Tasset, 76, Springfield passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017, in his home with his loving wife, Geraldine, and son, Kevin by his side.
Glenn was born February 8, 1941, in Windthorst, Kansas. Glenn was the son of Everett and Justina Tasset with thirteen siblings. He was married to Geraldine Anne McLinden on June 2, 1962, in St. Barnabus Church of Long Beach, California. He was a longtime member and employee of Immaculate Conception Church. Glenn was a veteran of the Navy, worked at McDonnell Douglas Aviation in California, Zenith, and was owner of Cheri Lynn Pastry in Republic and Springfield, Missouri. Glenn enjoyed chemistry, math, drafting, and will be remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit, love of photography, history, computers, baking, and his love for the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine, Springfield; eight children and their spouses, Kevin Tasset, Theresa and Alan Fore, Brenda and Thomas Faulkner, Melissa and Darin Reichard, Anita and Steven Green, Lora and Jason Luna, Karl Tasset, Amanda and Mike Plute; six sisters and their husbands, Bibiana Thomas, Rosalia and Bob Lawrence, Anita and Dale Ball, Loraine and Jerry Coose, Barbara and Terry Bryan, Regina and Joseph Hessler; five brothers, and their wives, Quentin and Delphine Tasset, Damian and Alvina Tasset, Carl and Mary Tasset, Harry and Margaret Tasset, Emmett and Susan Tasset; 15 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; and numerous other family members.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Justina; his sister, Valeria Tasset; his brother Mark Tasset.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2017, in Immaculate Conception Church, Springfield. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Crosslines-615 N. Glenstone, Springfield, or The Kitchen-1630 N. Jefferson Ave., Springfield or Immaculate Conception Church-3555 S. Fremont, Springfield.
