Obituary

Glenn Edward Miller age 57 passed peacefully Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Cox Hospital with his wife Susan, son Steve, daughter Amanda, and close family by his side. A longtime resident of the Ozarks, Glenn was born on August 22, 1957 in Evanston, IL to Jerry and Elsie Miller. Preceding Glenn in death were his father Jerry Miller and brother Paul Miller. Glenn is survived by his wife of 37 amazing years Susan (Wells) Miller; daughter Amanda Rainey and son-in-law Adam Rainey; son Steve Miller and daughter-in-law Andrea Miller with grandchildren Lorali and Violet. He is also survived by numerous close family members and friends that were very special to him. Glenn graduated from Kickapoo High School in Springfield, MO and attended Pharmacy School at UMKC in Kansas City, MO where he received a Pharmacy degree and spent 33 years practicing his profession. He finished his career for the last 11 years at Cox Health Systems. Glenn enjoyed music, playing the trumpet in High School and in Church services and listening to classic rock bands. He was an avid sports fan especially the St. Louis Cardinals, attending several games every year and rooting them on in the postseason. Most of all he loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. Glenn loved to spend time in the outdoors fishing, boating, golfing, or just hanging around the pool. He loved to travel, especially to the beach, whether it was Florida, Hawaii, or Jamaica he loved them all. We especially enjoyed a couple special family vacations to Florida and San Diego in the last few years. He loved his family and the special times we all shared. We will celebrate Glenn's life with visitation on Friday May 8, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
