Obituary

Gladys Nell (Watson) Dugger, 87, was born September 18, 1929 in Willard, Missouri to Joseph B. and Nellie E. Watson, and passed away on September 12, 2017.

She grew up in Willard and graduated from Willard High School in 1947.

Her employment career consisted of an insurance company, 16 years for a National Warehousing Company, an Employment Counselor for a private employment agency, office employee for a Real Estate Company, worked for Kelly Girls, and March of Dimes.

She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, USO for troops at Ft. Leonard Wood, member and past President of Elks #409 auxiliary, life member of Springfield Little Theatre and traveled extensively.

She met her husband, L. U. "Red" Dugger on a blind date and they were married in 1958 in Springfield and they were married 35 years until his passing in 1993.

They were self-employed in Commercial Construction and worked in an eight state area.

They were both members of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Gladys is survived by a step-daughter, Betty Bird (Morris) and their six children, many step-great-grandchildren, a niece, Cheryl (Kile) Chambers of Dixon, MO, Cheryl's son, Brent Chambers of Springfield, MO, and a nephew's wife, Carolyn Kile of Springfield, MO.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, September, 20, 2017 at 1 pm in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens with Dr. Andrew Chaney officiating under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
