IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Giles Lee
"Jay" Jensen
October 13, 1949 – May 29, 2021
Giles Lee "Jay" Jensen finished his journey here on earth Saturday, May 29, 2021 in Springfield, MO. He was born on October 13, 1949 in Birmingham, Al. His parents Ralph A. Jensen and Edna L. Baker Jensen have preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Connie Huesgen Jensen; two sisters, Pat Whited and Marcy (Stephen) Bilyeu; nephews Mark Whited and Nathan Bilyeu; and niece Jennifer Bilyeu all of Springfield. Giles' children with Madeline Allison Jensen are Tracey (Michael) Avila and Ryan (Melissa) Jensen. They have four grandchildren Carli and Jake Avila; Colt and Bailey Jensen all of Visalia, CA.
Giles graduated from Glendale High School in Springfield (1968) and served four years in the U.S. Navy (1968-72). He spent most of his working life in the printing business. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, golf, fishing and watching Raiders football.
His personality was all encompassing; he was ready with a joke, story, song or candy for the Ozarks Dialysis staff at any time. His favorite poem was "If" by Rudyard Kipling and tried to live by those words. Giles was certainly loved and will be missed by many.
