Geraldine Anne (McLinden) Tasset, 84, Springfield passed away Monday, August 28, 2023, in her home with her devoted son, Kevin, by her side, and surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and sisters.
Gerry was born December 15, 1938, in Denver, CO. She was the daughter of Joseph and Geraldine (Yegge) McLinden with six siblings. Gerry was married to Glenn Alexander Tasset on June 2, 1962, in St. Barnabus Church of Long Beach, CA and was blessed to celebrate almost 55 years of marriage. She was a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Church. Gerry had an extensive work history and retired after 23 years of service in medical records at St. John's/ Mercy Hospital.
Gerry enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; doing Bible wordsearch; watching the Cardinals' games, her gameshows, and Hallmark; reading spiritual articles; and will be remembered for her deep love for the Lord, her family and others. She devoted a big portion of her life to caring for and helping others.
She is survived by her eight children and their spouses, Kevin Tasset, Theresa and Alan Fore, Brenda and Tom Faulkner, Melissa and Darin Reichard, Anita and Steven Green, Lora and Jason Luna, Karl Tasset and Chrissy Phillips, and Amanda and Mike Plute; three sisters, Michaeleen Riel, Colleen Watson, and Jodeen Engelhart; sister-in-law, Judy McLinden; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; and numerous other family members.
Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Tasset; parents, Joseph and Geraldine McLinden; brothers, Joe and Tim McLinden; and sister, Maureen Richter.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, August 31, 2023, in Immaculate Conception Church, Springfield.
