Gerald (Sam) Hill, 75, passed away peacefully in his home. He was surrounded by his family on December 17, 2015. He was born in South Dakota to Merle and Elva (Thomas) Hill on May 8, 1940. He was in the Navy 21 years. A Cryp. Tech. He married Mary Beesley April 8, 1963.
He is survived by his wife Mary of 52 years. His 3 children Scott Hill, Sandra Ward, and Cindy and husband Paul Weidhas. One grandchild Amanda Ward, and one great grandchild Aiden Rhodes. Two sisters Janis and husband Lee Ray, Karen and husband Corkey Mahan.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. The funeral will be held directly after, at 2:00 PM. Burial with full military honors will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
