Georgia M. Kollmeier, age 93, of Springfield, MO passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011 in Springfield, MO. Georgia was born August 16, 1918 in Springfield, MO to Walter and Laura Richardson. She graduated from Senior High School in Springfield, MO. She married Clifford C. Kollmeier on July 16, 1949, and they shared 59 years together before he passed away in 2009. Georgia was an executive secretary for Frisco Railroad, which later became Burlington Northern Railroad and retired from there after 32 years of service. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was involved in many organizations including Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML), Friendship Club and Senior Safari. Georgia was a charter member of the Beaux Arts Group of S.M.M. A. and was also a member of National Association of Railway Business Women (N.A.R.B.W.). She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford C. Kollmeier; and brother, Ralph Richardson. She is survived by her daughter, Julianne Sarff (Jan) of Springfield; son, Robert L. (Wendy A.) of Nixa; sister-in-law, Ruby Richardson of Orange, TX; grandchildren, Chelsey Kollmeier and Brett Sarff of Springfield; niece, Marylon Richardson; and other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2011 in Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend William Marler officiating, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Meinert, MO. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Youth Group, 1514 S.
