Georgia "Kitty" Anderson, age 89, of Springfield, Missouri, passed at 10:30 pm on November 1, 2015. Kitty would have celebrated her 90th birthday on November 19th. Kitty was born in Batesville, Arkansas on November 19, 1925 to George and Julia Wallis. She met Alton "Andy" Anderson, the love of her life, in San Francisco, CA and they were married September 17, 1945. To this union, 5 children were born: Carol "Cookie" & Gary Cole; Vicki & Dennis Blevins; Scott & Jan Anderson; Steve & Georgia Anderson; and Lori & Craig Deforest. Kitty is survived by her 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Kitty was of Methodist faith and her interests involved caring for family, traveling, china painting and gambling. Preceded in death by parents George and Julia Wallis; husband Alton "Andy" Anderson; son & daughter-in-law Scott & Jan Anderson; granddaughter Gretchen Blevins; 2 brothers- Bill Wallis and Charlie Wallis; 3 sisters- Beulah Johnson, Farrell Siddens and Juanita Payne. Memorial graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm November 6, 2015 in Eastlawn Cemetery with the Reverend Jerry Jones officiating under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Visitation services will be from 6:00 to 7:00 pm November 5, 2015 in the funeral home.
