March 6, 1930 – April 30, 2016
George Abraham age 86 of Springfield passed away at 4:20 a.m. on April 30th, 2016 in Springfield, Missouri.
George was born in Galena, Kansas on March 6, 1930. He had served his country during the Korean War. After returning from the service he married the love of his life Ruth. Together they were blessed with five children. George worked for Hagale Industries for 46 years before his retirement. Until recently he worked part time for FM stores and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Throughout his life he made many life long friends who's birthday, he never forgot. His loving nature and ornery personality will be greatly missed.
George was preceded in death by his loving wife Ruth Hagale Abraham, daughter Diane Abraham Thompson, father and mother Joseph and Najeebi, and his brothers Rev. Joseph Abraham and Bill Abraham.
George is survived by his daughter Debbie Abraham, his sons Joe Abraham (Nadia), George Abraham and Louis Abraham (Linda) of Springfield, son in law Danny Thompson, grandchildren Jassim Abraham, Crystal Thompson Almazyed (Nayef), Marc Thompson (Heather), Jennifer Thompson Polaski (Skyler), Tarek Abraham (Maggie), Kaleb Abraham Ruth Abraham, Great-grandchildren Aiden Thompson, Jaiden Davis, Damien Thompson, Diana Almayzed, and by his best friend Sidney Farris.
Visitation will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home Tuesday May 3rd, from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. The service will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Rajeesh Nair and his staff; the staff at Mercy Hospice for their care and compassion.
