George (David) Koch, 55, left this earth to join his family and our Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 27, 2011 surrounded by his wife and daughters. David was born August 29, 1955 to George and Nancy Koch. David and his family owned and operated the Shady Inn Restaurant for over fifty-five years. David retired in 2001 and spent his retirement traveling with friends and family. He enjoyed Corvettes, the lake, gambling, spending time with friends and family and a good meal. David was preceded in death by his father, George, his mother Nancy, a brother Gary and sister Karen. He is survived by his loving wife Rhonda; daughter and son-in-law Kristy Koch and Steve San Paolo; daughter Kim Koch; and so many friends. Anyone who had the opportunity to know David knew a fun loving and big hearted man who cherished family, friends and his sobriety. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. A Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2011 in St. Agnes Cathedral with Msgr. Thomas Reidy celebrant under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
