George E. Bauer was born March 10, 1940 and passed away, at age 73, on January 30, 2014. He graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1958 and attended the University of Missouri. George led a life of servitude. He served his country for six years in the Missouri National Guard, acted as a loving father and grandfather, and provided mechanical assistance for friends and family. George's passions include antique cars and discipleship. He was a long-time active member of the Ozark Antique Auto Club and the Greater Ozark Mustang Club. George loved a parade and was always the first to volunteer his Fords for homecoming events. He was a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church. George is survived by his wife of 52 years, Myrna Kay Bauer; son Terry, his wife Marsha, and sons Brad and Logan; daughter Rana and her husband John, and sons Canton and Harper Post. Also, he is survived by two sisters, Betty Bauman and her husband H.C. of Wyandotte, OK and Dr. Sue Bauer-Foy and her husband Jim of Cheyenne, WY. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Regional Hospice and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
