Geoffrey Thomas Branch, 65, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018, surrounded by his family, following an extended illness.

He was born March 19, 1952 in London, England, the son of the late Alf Branch and Esther Betty Rockall and step-father Doug Rockall.  Geoff is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sally Freed Branch; brother Chris and wife, Marion, of Woodmancote, West Sussex, England; two sisters-in-law, Julie Freed Davis and husband Bill and Susan Freed McCollegan; three nieces, one nephew, one great-niece and four great-nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Fred McCollegan.

Geoff was a Director of the Robert Fleming Insurance Brokerage associated with Lloyd's of London.  He was privileged to be at the opening of the new Lloyd's Building in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II.

Geoff's humor, kindness and generous spirit was evident to everyone he knew.  He was known by few but loved by all.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at King's Way United Methodist Church, 2401 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, with the Reverends Laura Murphy and Susan McCollegan officiating.  Memorial donations may be made to: The Guide Dogs for the Blind Assoc., Halfields, Burghfield Common, Reading, Berkshire WC RG7 3YG, UK or the Encephalitis Support Group, 32 Castlegate, Malton, North Yorkshire VO17 7DT, UK.

The family wishes to thank Adina, Florin, and Sorin Tocai of Close to Paradise care facility for their dedication and compassionate care of Geoff, as well as the many caregivers who cared for Geoff in their home.
