Genevieve Jewel Brookshier, 94, Nixa, MO passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019.  She was born March 15, 2019 in Marshfield, MO.  She was baptized in Marshfield at the age of 13. She retired from Zenith in 1986 after 16 years because of her health issues.

She loved to cook for her family and tend to her flowers and continually add clothes to her closets.

She was preceded in death by an infant child, Katherine, husband, Don, her parents "Doc" and Tennie Deckard of Marshfield; and five sisters, Opal Stokes, Orene Deckard, Lenora Wiseman, Mildred DeGood and Fern Rhodes.

She is survived by three children, Roy "Sonny" Cirillo, John Cirillo of Pittsburgh, KS, and daughter, Brenda Cirillo of Springfield, MO; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that were all very special to her; and several nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to doctors and friends who helped and supported her for years.  Also, a special thank you to her friend Valerie Mitchell, couldn't have done it without you.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2019 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.  Donations may be made in Genevieve's name to the National Kidney Foundation, 6405 Metcalf Avenue, Suite 204, Overland Park, KS 66202.
