Gary L. Oberfoell, 67, of Springfield, Missouri, formerly of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 11 ^th , 2019.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 13 ^th at 9:00 a.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be held afterwards at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.

Gary was born April 8 ^th , 1952 to Mabel and Carl Oberfoell in Dubuque, Iowa, who preceded him in death, along with his sister Cheri Schmidt.

Gary was a Vietnam veteran; he served three years active duty.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; son Steve (Dawn), granddaughter Taylor; son Kevin (Bethany), grandson Brooks; step-daughter Brandi (Michael), grandchildren Peyton and Evan; sister Jackie (Ron) Bartlett; brother Jim (Carol) Oberfoell; two brothers-in-law Terry and Jerry Estes, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
