Gary W. Davis, 81 of Springfield passed away at 4:31 am Wednesday, April 24, 2024.  He was born the son of Elmer S. Davis and Frances L. Willis Davis in Springfield on August 30, 1942.

He was a member of IBEW, Local 1553.

Gary enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and James Davis.

Gary is survived by his longtime companion, Nancy White; son, Mike Davis (Julie) of Republic, MO; his daughter, Angela Davis (Tom Hightower) of Marshfield, MO; his son, Shawn Davis of Billings, MO; grandchildren, Tiara Davis of Springfield, Kevin Davis of Republic, McKenzie Davis Saldana (Noe Saldana) of El Paso, TX, Taylor Davis Stow (Zack Stow) of Springfield, Shondra Davis Page (Dillon Page) of Crane, Logan Davis of Springfield, and Tryton Davis of Billings; as well as two nephews and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 10:00 am in Gorman Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with the Reverend Matt Cullum officiating.  Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 pm on Friday.  No visitation is scheduled, however friends may call from 3-7 pm Thursday in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
