Obituary

Gary Lee Clark of Springfield, Missouri, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, 74, has passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022.  He will be remembered for his love, generosity towards his family and friends, passion for golf and his love of animals.  Gary graduated Rogersville (MO) High School in 1965.  He then served his country in the Navy for a period of years, which included the period of the Vietnam War.

While in the Navy, Gary married the love of his life, Cynthia (nee Grabast).  After Gary's service in the Navy they returned to Springfield, Missouri.  They were married for 51 years.  They had one son, Andrew (Andy) Clark.  Along with Andy, eventually they were blessed with a daughter-in-law, Ryan (nee Bellamy), and two grandsons, Joshua Blankley and Samuel Clark.  Their grandsons were the joys of Gary's life along with their many dogs.

Gary had a true passion for being outdoors, whether it was playing his favorite activity-golf, gardening with Cindy, landscaping their home, or his Christmas lights display.

He was preceded by his mother, Madeline Johns, his father, Lawrence Johns, and his sister, Kathryn (nee Clark) Bagwell.

Gary is survived by his wife, Cindy, their son, Andrew and wife, Ryan, his grandsons, Joshua Blankley and Samuel Clark, along with his sister, Celeste Johns (brother-in-law, Robert Painter), and brother-in-law, Stephen Bagwell, Sr, and nephew, Stephen Bagwell, Jr.
