IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Garrett Shane
Glover
April 11, 1983 – July 26, 2023
Garrett Shane Glover, 40, passed away peacefully on July 26 in the manner of his own choosing. Formerly a very enthusiastic musician, outdoorsman and athlete, Garrett had fought against a rare but profoundly disabling and painful neurological illness. Having exhausted all possible medical treatments, he planned his own death in the most compassionate way possible. His illness had prevented him from visiting or talking with old friends or family members for the past few years, but everyone is invited to participate in a service of remembering at Gorman-Scharpf funeral home at 10 a.m. on August 7, 2023. Garrett is survived by his wife, Niki, his father and stepmother, Mark and Vickie Glover, his mother, Judy Glover, his sister, Erin and her husband, William Bast, stepbrothers Adam and Matt Park and Cody Weber, and nieces, Ella, Cameron and Faraleigh, and many other family members and friends. Garrett was born in Springfield on April 11, 1983, and had recently returned to Springfield after having lived in Fort Collins, Colorado for the past 15 years. He was a graduate of Glendale High School and both Missouri State University and Colorado State University.
Memorial Service will be held Monday, August 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
The Service will be livestreamed at the All Occasion Video Springfield Missouri Facebook page and can be found by clicking here .
