Garold A. Speer "Gary" was born in Holdrege, Nebraska, on August 16, 1947. He passed away January
12, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 77.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley, their children, Robert and Jennifer, Jennifer's husband, Tim Parkinson, and his brother, Tim Speer, and his wife, Lori., and a host of friends and family.

He spent his life as a minister, editor, and writer.

He was known for his sense of humor and his care for the people around him.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association for research.

The family will be hosting a memorial service on March 6th, 2025 at 1:30pm at South Street Christian Church.
