Gabriel Dennis "Gabe" Wilson, 63, of Springfield, MO passed away at 11:53 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2011 in Cox South Hospital. Gabe was born July 23, 1948 in Detroit, MI. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gabriel "Gaber", in 1994. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Randy Jennings of Augusta, GA. Gabe was a graduate of Rolla, Missouri High School and attended Southwest Missouri State University. He is survived by his wife, June Wilson; daughter, Juliann Slover of St. Louis, MO; son, Dusty Plaster of Springfield, MO; three grandchildren, Jeff Aiken, Aaron Aiken and Cadence Plaster Garrison; great-grandson, A.J. Aiken; brother, Greg Boulware and wife Debbie of Hollister, MO; nephew, Ryan Boulware; extended and adopted family, Randy and Missy Watkins, Jerod Baker, John Wilson, Denise and Bill Bohnenkamp, Caleb Sheppard and family, Jaymi Smith, LaTonya "Tiny" McMorris and Kristy and Travis Garrison. He was a softball and baseball umpire at Softball City and area high schools for many years. He was also instrumental in developing the Logan-Rogersville Mighty Mite Football Program. Gabe was the former owner of Gabe's Used Furniture and Antiques and had spent the last 19 years working in construction with Dock Brothers Construction until his retirement in 2010. Gabe had also been a Member of the Masonic Lodge and Abou Ben Adhem Shrine. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, August 25 at Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
