Frederick Edward Gerson, 93, of Springfield, MO passed away February 15, 2012. He was born March 3, 1918 in Jerseyville, IL, the son of Edward and Anna Gerson of Fieldon, IL. He was married to Eunice Gerson of St. Louis, MO who survives him. He is also survived by two sons, Gary of St. Louis and Tom of Estes Park, CO; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Stanley, Clayton and Howard. Fred graduated from National Electronics School in California. He served 4 years in the 143rd Signal Company as a radio Operator with the Third Armored Division that invaded Normandy in WWII. He was a partner in Empire Electronics in St. Louis, which later became A&E Electronics. He retired to their home on Table Rock Lake before moving to Springfield. He was also a member of the Kimberling City Amateur Radio Club. Private services will be held at a later date under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
