Frederick H Borneman, Jr, age 67 of Springfield, Missouri passed away at 11:44 December 8th in Cox Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. He was born the son of Frederick and Patricia Borneman in Springfield, Missouri.

Fred was a special education teacher for many years. He worked with students with severe learning disabilities, where his calm and helpful spirit made him a grounded and dependable presence in the lives of his students.

Fred was a gentle soul and an animal lover who often took in strays. Bright and funny, he liked to joke with his nieces and nephews and discuss old movies with his mother. Fred was a history buff and liked nothing more than watching a Ken Burns documentary on PBS. He was greatly appreciated and deeply loved by his friends and family members.

Preceded in death by his father, Frederick H Borneman Sr.

Survived by mother, Patricia Borneman, sisters Susan Oakley, Lori Fuge, and Elizabeth Meiner, and brothers Cary, Christopher, and David Borneman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as his stepdaughter, Audrey Seitz.

Funeral mass services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, December 18, 2024, in Immaculate Conception with Father Nick Zummo celebrant, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at Immaculate Conception.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA or Ozark Food Harvest.
