Freda Ruth Nightingale, age 89 of Springfield, Mo., passed away at 8:30 a.m. on August 13, 2016. She was a retired beautician, a member of the Baptist faith, and a member of the Zonta club of Springfield.

She is preceded in death by her husband Venard Nightingale; her mother and father Leona and Julius Riebold; her brother Raymond Riebold; and her sister-in-law June Riebold.

She is survived by daughter Carol Stringer and her husband David Rizzio of Springfield, Mo.; son Jerry Nightingale and his wife Merrilee Benz Nightingale of Casselberry, Fl.; grandson Christopher Brunner of Springfield, Mo.;great-granddaughter Jasmin Brunner of Springfield, Mo.; brother Kelly Riebold and sister-in-law Sue Riebold; step-sister Betty Ann Myshiro, and best friend Colleen Routh Shaw. Cremation under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. No services have been planned at this time.
