Fred R. Coppinger, Ozark, Missouri, died on March 5, 2015 at the age of 82 years, 11 months. Fred was born in Ash Grove, Missouri, on April 12, 1932 to Fred T. and Ethel (Loftis) Coppinger. He graduated from Ash Grove High School in 1950. He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict and, following that, he studied at Southwest Missouri State University, graduating in 1959. On September 28, 1963, Fred married Jennie L. (Tish) Wiggins of Springfield. Most of their married life was spent in Prairie Village and Overland Park, Kansas. They moved to Shell Knob, Missouri on Table Rock Lake upon retirement. Fred spent most of his career in the insurance field as a property claims adjuster, retiring in November 1997 as a regional claims manager. Fred was an avid fisherman and hunter. One of his favorite activities was to be on the lake or in the woods with family or close friends with a gun or rod close at hand. He had earned his private pilot's license at age 16 and, although he had not piloted a plane in many years, he still loved aircraft and thought often about the joy of flight. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ethel, his sister Elva and her husband Wayne Sanders, and his sister Amy and her husband John Huesgen. He is survived by his wife Tish, son Tim Coppinger, son Steve Coppinger and his wife Elizabeth, four very special grandchildren- Jennifer, Sarah, Timothy (Nat) and Conor, and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 3 Northwoods Drive, Kimberling City, Missouri, on March 16, 2015 at 11:00am. Interment will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, P.O.
