Frank A. McCoy, 68, was born November 22, 1942 in Casa, Arkansas, the son of F.A. and Inez McCoy. He passed away, March 8, 2011 in St. John's Hospital. He grew up in Odessa, TX where he played basketball, football and baseball for Permian High School from 1959 till 1961. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1965. Frank was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Springfield. He enjoyed fishing, reading, watching sports and his grandchildren. He owned Countryside Cottage Gift Shop with his wife Ann since 1983. Frank retired after 32 years in sales with Kraft Foods. He was preceded in death by one son, Brett; his parents; a brother, Ed McCoy and his granddaughter, Grace McCoy. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ann; son, Ryan and wife Michelle and their children Mallory and Cameron and son Matt and wife Patience and their children, Callie and Sara. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 11, 2011 in Wesley United Methodist Church, with the Reverends, Jim Massey and Bruce Baxter officiating under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery south of Nixa.
