Frank "Skip" Huffhines passed away peacefully in his home in Kansas City, Missouri, on Sunday, September 4, 2022. Frank was born October 29, 1930, in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was the son of Frank A. Huffhines and Kathryn I. (Kolkmeyer) Huffhines who have preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Shelbia J. (Jacobs) Huffhines and lost her on November 16, 2002 after 40 years of marriage. He then met and married Beulah (Mitchell) Huffhines and was united in marriage to her until her passing in January, 2013.
Skip is survived by his daughter, Mary Kathryn Huffhines-Bullock and her husband, Lewis Bullock of Kansas City, Missouri and Granddaughters Shelby Bullock and her fiance, Caleb Houck, of Kansas City and Kathryn Bullock and her fiance, Thomas Gawf, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He also leaves behind two step-daughters; Mary Wollard, her husband, John Wollard, and Shiella Morris; step-grandchildren Jennifer White (Mike), Sheri Hewitt (Chris), David Morris (Danna), Kristy Harden (Dave).
Skip had a fulfilling career as a sales representative for Coats and Clark. He also served in the Army in Korea. Skip developed a passion for Cornhusker football while living in Omaha, Nebraska and also rooted for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was faithful to Christ and a passionate member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Springfield.
Skip's heart always had room for charity, generosity, and love, and he loved to learn about people through conversations. He was a beacon of decency and respect and had an captivating smile that would warm any heart.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 - 11:00 AM, with Funeral Mass following at 11:00 AM, on September 12, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be at 2:00 PM in Crane Community Cemetery, Crane, MO.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Springfield, Missouri.
