Frank "Moose" Durbin

1948–2021

Frank "Moose" Durbin, age 73, of St. James Missouri, passed away February 27, 2021. He was a brother to five siblings, father to two sons, and grandfather to five grandchildren. Frank loved his sons and his friends. He loved music, stories, golf, fly fishing, movies, racing, casinos, and traveling around the world. From his birth and youth in St. James, to his college days at Drury, to his teaching days with Springfield Public Schools, to his State Farm Insurance agency in Hermann/Springfield/Buffalo, to his time doing TESOL in Iraq, he made friends everywhere he went. He will be dearly missed.

Preceded in death by his mother, Eileen Durbin

Survived by eldest son Kelly Durbin in Springfield, MO and his family, Jaclyn, Helena, Henry, and Hudson. Also, youngest son Sean Durbin in Newport Beach, CA and his family, Jessica, Finley, and Jack. Also, his brothers Steve and Ron, as well as his sisters Verna, Judy, and Theresa.

An indoor/outdoor "Celebration of Life" visitation occurs Monday, March 8, from 4:00–6:00pm, at the Lake Springfield Boathouse facility at 2312 E Lake Springfield Park Rd, Spfld, MO. Please wear a mask and come honor Frank with a story, a Coke, and a smile.

A memorial visitation occurs Friday, March 12 from 12:30-1:30pm, at the James & Gahr Funeral Home at 117 Seymour St. in St. James, MO. Graveside interment at Asher Cemetery at 2:00pm (family only).  Please wear a mask.
