Francis BeVier , 81, passed away, July 21, 2010. Francis Edward BeVier, Jr. was born in Springfield, MO son of the late Francis and Nancy Louise Tuttle BeVier. Mr. BeVier was currently residing in Weatherford, TX, where he had lived for a number of years. He greatly loved his family and his pets. He found great pleasure in building beautiful churches and schools throughout the nation. Francis had a great interest and skill in the use of the "divining rod". He served his country as cryptographer in the Korean War. Mr. BeVier was also a life-long Presbyterian and enjoyed playing in the Boy Scout Band as a youth. He attended Greenwood High School from K-12 and enjoyed lifelong memories of attending school with the 15 girls and 15 boys in his class. Survivors include, wife, Betty BeVier of Weatherford; daughters, Laurie Levorsen and husband Mark of Colorado, Cindy Hodges of California, grandchildren, Hannah and Drew Levorsen; sister, Helen Bredesen, and husband, Brad, of Missouri, nephew, Karsten Bredesen and numerous friends and acquaintances. Services will be held at 11AM Monday, July 26, 2010 in Westminister Presbyterian Church under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel, a reception will follow the service. Visitation will be from 10AM until service time Monday, in the church.
