Francia Ann Bennett, aged 67 years, of Holiday Island, Arkansas, passed away Thursday March 11, 2010, in Springfield, Missouri from complications due to cancer, in the Cox Medical Center. Francia was born on May 4, 1942, in Leon, Iowa, and is survived by her two brothers, Paul and Tom Epperly; her daughter, Franchel Krueger; and her son, Jason Bennett. Francia was the adoring grandmother to four granddaughters and the proud aunt to many nieces and nephews. Francia's husband of 36 years, Gary Bennett, preceded her in death. Francia lived her life surrounded by her family and an ever growing network of remarkable friends she cherished for their enduring love and support. She was happiest sharing a recipe or entertaining frequent company at home. With her husband, Gary, and later on her own, but never alone, Francia faithfully enjoyed golfing, weekly card games, crossword puzzles, home decorating, as well as bright and easy conversation while cooking for anyone with an appetite. A generous wife, a dedicated mother, a loyal friend; she was always available to pick up the phone or welcome us through an eternally open front door for a beer or a bowl of Chile. Francia will be remembered and deeply missed by all for her irreplaceable warmth and heart. A memorial service will be held on Monday March 15, 2010, in the Holiday Island Community Church in Holiday Island, Arkansas at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Humane Society of Springfield, Mo.
