Frances Ann Harless, 88, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013 in Mercy Hospital. She was born on July 18, 1925 to James Bryan and Bonnie Jean McCarty. She lived her life in Springfield, MO and was Valedictorian of Springfield Senior High School class of 1943 and attended Draughons Business College. On February 14, 1946 she married Lawrence (Bus) Harless who preceded her in death on July 17, 2010, after 65 years of marriage. She was a past president of chapter BG, P.E.O., Tau Phi Gamma Sorority, S.M.M.A. and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, president of the Women's Society and other ladies groups. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ed and his wife Mary Lea, and other extended family. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Graveside services will be held at Mt. Comfort Cemetery on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 1:00pm under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church.
