Obituary

Floyd Snow, Jr., 89, of Springfield, died on January 4, 2017, in Springfield.

He was born October 22, 1927, in Orla, MO to Floyd Sr. and Pearl Howell Snow.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over 55 years, Bonnie Jean Snow; twin infant sons; three sisters: Vernetta Jones, Loretta Freeman, and Dottie Baker; two brothers: Lowell and Kenneth Snow; and an infant sister.

He is survived by a son, Bruce Snow, and his wife, Kristin, of Denver; two sisters: Shirley Brown of Lebanon, and Margie Griffin and her husband, Stanley, of North Carolina; a brother, Ralph Snow, and his wife Millie, of Oregon; one grandson, Brendan Snow, and his wife, Puja, of Maryland; two step-grandchildren: Henry Modisett, of California, and Grace Modisett, of Denver; and also many other relatives.

Floyd graduated from Lebanon High School in 1945, and served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal from 1945-47. He worked for Greyhound as a bus driver for over 35 years. He settled in Springfield with his wife, Bonnie, and they were happily married until her death in 2011. He enjoyed his family, as well as fishing, hunting, camping and gardening.

Funeral services for Floyd will be held at 10:00am, Monday, January 9, 2017, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole, Springfield, with Rev. Terry Watkins officiating.

Burial will be in McBride Cemetery in Lebanon. Arrangements are by Gorman-Scharpf.
