Fay L. Martin, 96, of Springfield, MO, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 8, 2018.  Fay was born October 24, 1921 to Opal R (Dougherty) Leach and Herbert E. Leach in Chariton County.

Fay was a life-long member of First Christian Church, Sedalia, MO where she was known as the greeter who knew everyone in the congregation and who welcomed every newcomer and made them feel at home.  She was also a Christian Youth Fellowship leader for many years.  Fay was instrumental in implementing video streaming of church services.

She had a legacy of growing and sharing flowers, especially daylilies which she shared with friends and acquaintances.  She was very proud of her five generation family and was an awesome role model to them all.  Fay lived a life of faith, family and fellowship.

Fay was proceeded in death by first husband, Louis S. Campbell, second husband, David A. Martin and great-grandson Spencer Nicodemus.  She is survived by daughter, Laura Martin, son Clay (Gretchen) Campbell, grandchildren Clarissa (Chuck) Brittain, Kathy (Sean) Nicodemus, DAC (Erica) Campbell, great-grandchildren, Corey Irwin, Deidre Brandshaw, Drew Irwin, Allison Chamberlain, Michael Brittain, Samantha Nicodemus, & Oliver Campbell, daughter-in-law Linda H. Campbell plus six great-great-grandchildren and one more on the way.

Interment will be at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Springfield, MO. Services will be at a later date.  Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, 200 S.
