Evelyn Sue Yocom, 63, Springfield, MO passed away suddenly, July 10, 2023.  She was born September 12, 1959 in Birmingham, Alabama to Herbert Austin and Helen Jacqueline (Miles) Yocom.

Evelyn was a graduate of Harrison (Arkansas) High School and attended the University of Arkansas. She was a legal assistant for the Social Security Administration many years and worked in their St. Louis and Springfield offices. She studied piano from third grade on and enjoyed traveling.

She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Sara Flannagan

Evelyn is survived by her brother, Bert Yocom; her sister, Carol Kile; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2023 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the National Wildlife Federation at www.nwf.org.
