Obituary

Eva Mae Sazone, age 78, was peacefully called to heaven on November 16, 2023, surrounded by loved ones, shortly after being treated for pneumonia at Cox South Hospital. Eva was born on October 19, 1945 in Springfield, MO to Genevieve Johnson and Edward Walker, both whom preceded her in death. Eva dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Greater Metropolitan Church, where Ken Lewis is the pastor.

Eva graduated from Central High School Class of 1963 and shortly after, married Danny Osborne from 1964 to 1974and during that union they birthed three amazing children: Tonja Osborne, who preceded her in death, Trina (Cedric, Sr.) Williams of Atoka, TN, and Danny "Poo" Osborne of Springfield, MO. Eva worked in the childcare field and as a nursing assistant. As God redirected her love life, he sent her soulmate Raymond Sazone, who she was married tofor 32 years until his untimely death in 2007 and from this union came another amazing child, Raymone Sazone of Omaha, NE. Eva worked for Sweetheart Cup for 30 years until she retired. Then, she went on to enjoy a life of journal writing, traveling, scrapbooking, upholstering, and enjoying spending time with her family, who she loved very much.

Eva leaves behind her brothers, Sylvester "Scat" and Lyman "Red" Johnson; brothers-in-law, Odell and James Sazone; her sisters, Edna and Loueekah Johnson; sisters-in law, Jean Coleman- Gore, Patricia Myles and Melba Sazone; loving brothers and sisters who preceded her in death: Joe "Frog" Rivers, Levi and Charlie Johnson, Thomas Sr. and Betty Wilson, and Mary Ann Sazone.
Her grandchildren: LaMeeka, LaTonia (Anthony), Briana, Dylan, Cedrica, Crystal, Cedric Jr. (Kimberly), Payton,Sydnie (Woodrow), Cedrick, Cameron, and Delanie; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts,uncles, and cousins with special recognition to her niece, Rosie Johnson and God-daughter Theresa Montana, who she loved all of them so very dearly.

Eva Mae Sazone will be laid to rest on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Visitation will from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Homegoing Celebration at 1:30 p.m.
