Eva Lou Brown was born December 4, 1944 in Frederic, Wisconsin to Lloyd and Audrie (Cory) Brown.

The family moved to Green Forest, Arkansas in 1947 then on to Springdale, Arkansas in 1957. She graduated from High School there in 1962.

She worked for Equitable of Iowa Life Insurance Company in Des Moines, Iowa from 1963 through 1982. Most of that time she was a Commission Specialist.

In 1983 she completed a 2-year program in bookkeeping/accounting at Des Moines Area Community College and moved to Springfield, Missouri.

In 1984, she was employed by the Principal Financial Group as a Claims Examiner but she trained and supervised most of the time. She retired December 31, 2009.

While living in Springfield, she attended Springfield Bible Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ivan, and sisters Ruth, Juanita (in infancy), Naomi and Eunice.

She is survived by two brothers, Roland and Paul (Carol), sister-in-law Barbara Brown and many very loved nieces and nephews.

She died on February 5, 2017 and as Scripture says "was gathered to His people." Memorial services will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Springfield Bible Church. Cremation is under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Grandview Cemetery in rural Tama County, Iowa.
