Etta M. Stone, 63 of Pleasant Hope passed away Sunday morning, July 17, 2011 in St. John's Hospital. She was born August 5, 1947 in Richland, Missouri to James A. and Mable Strigel Williams. She attended school in Richland, Lebanon, and High School in Marshfield, Missouri and lived most of her adult life in Springfield. She was employed at Regal Beloit (formerly GE) in Springfield for over 30 years. In addition to her parents, Etta was preceded in death by her former husband, Paul Wilkie. Etta is survived by her husband Fred R. Stone of the home, brother John Williams of Springfield, MO, nephew Mark Williams of Battlefield, MO, step-daughters Susan Crouch, Melinda Stone and Abbey Leach, three-grandchildren, and her much loved Yorkie, Peppy. Graveside services and burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, in Brookline Cemetery with the Reverend David Lallathin officiating, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.
