On March 9, 2018 Erma Lee Karr entered the Gates of Heaven after a long, courageous battle with cancer.  She passed away at her home in Marshfield MO surrounded by her family.

Erma was born December 2, 1931 to James Tracy Clark and Coye Easter Barber Clark in the small town of Newark, AR.  The family moved frequently throughout Erma's childhood and eventually settled in Phoenix, AZ.

On June 25th, 1955 Erma married Marvin Kenneth Karr in Phoenix, AZ.  To this union a daughter was born.

Erma and Ken resided in Peoria, AZ until 1978, when they moved to a farm in Ava, MO where they raised feeder pigs and beef cattle. After retirement they bought a condo on Lake Taneycomo in Forsyth, MO where they enjoyed fishing.

Erma enjoyed gardening, travel and crocheting.  She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed making meals for the family with chicken and dumplings being her most requested dish.  Her greatest source of joy was spending time with her family.  Erma was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family unconditionally.  Erma was a kind and generous person who was always ready to help those in need.

Erma was a Christian and known to be a great prayer warrior.  She prayed daily for her family and friends.

Erma was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Robert Hardy.  She is survived by her husband, Ken, daughter, Kristy Schultz (Doug), granddaughters Sara Hardy (Ian) and Rachel Trumbull (Howard), grandson David Hardy, great-grandsons Tristan Hardy, Harrison Trumbull and Lennon Trumbull, great-granddaughters Emily Hardy and Luna Hardy, sister Betty Edwards, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.

Erma will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
