October 18, 2011 changed our lives forever. Our beloved Erik Lee Bohnstedt was taken from us at age 29 in a tragic car accident. He was born on November 3, 1981 in Springfield, MO and was united in marriage to Susan Barnett on April 12, 2003. Preceding him in death was his Great-Grandma Ona Walker. Erik is survived by his wife Susan Bohnstedt, two sons, Houston and Avery, his Momma Cheryl Hart, Father Robert Bohnstedt and fiance Missy, brother Jesse Hart, sisters Lacy Gardner and Jamie Zander, Grandpa Leroy Thomas and Dorla, Grandma Junetta and Charles Boyd, Grandpa and Grandma Junior and Juanita Bohnstedt, uncles and aunts Michael Thomas, Susan Thomas and Gary, Cliff and Debra Bohnstedt and Karen and Mike Langlois, nieces and nephews Baylee Zander, Ali, Leah and Owen Gardner and McKenzie, Aubrey, Sydney and William Barnett, Father and Mother-in-law Alvin and Phyllis Barnett, sisters and brothers-in-law Adam and Melissa Barnett, Scott and Tomica Barnett and Brad and Amy Barnett, best friends Travis Hardnett and Cuz Josh Sweeton and many other family members and llifelong friends. Erik enjoyed cars and the St. Louis Cardinals, but the loves of his life were his wife and sons. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, October 24, 2011 with funeral services held at 2 p.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with the Rev. Gayle Cobb officiating. The Erik Bohnstedt Memorial Fund has been set up for the benefit of his children Houston and Avery at Empire Bank. Gone but never to be forgotten.
