Enola Elvira "Nola" (Rorie) Creason, 86, Springfield, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 in Springfield Rehab and Health Care Center. She was born July 30, 1929 in Big Flat, Arkansas, the daughter of John Milo and Elvira Jane (McVey) Rorie. She accepted Jesus as her Savior at the age of 15. Nola graduated from Big Flat High School and attended business college in Springfield. She was employed with McNier Furniture, Campbell 66 and Cowden Auto Supply. She married Howard Creason in 1957 and together they had two sons, Brent and Bruce. Nola loved her family, photography, traveling, flowers, the mountains of Colorado, garage sales, her church family at Parkview Christian Church and reading God's word. She was a member of Bernina sewing club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Robert Creason; two brothers, Ulis Rorie and Willis Rorie and one sister, Eula Davis. Nola is survived by two sons, Bruce Creason and Brent Creason and wife, Debbie; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-sons, Steven and Rick Pepin and their families; and many loved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery. No visitation is planned.
