Emily Rose (Barry)  Stout , of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025. Emily was born on September 23, 1930, in Enon, Missouri to Charles Dorsey Barry and Grace (Agee) Barry.

Emily graduated from California High School, in Missouri in 1948. After which she attended Draughon Business College, in Springfield, Missouri. She married Loren Stout on April 6, 1952, and they would enjoy 70 years of marriage together.

Emily worked as a bookkeeper at Moniteau National Bank, stenographer at the Highway Department, as well as other various businesses. She was a dedicated homemaker, caregiver, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Emily was a member of First Baptist Church, in Springfield, Missouri. She took great pride in her cooking and in maintaining her vegetable and flower gardens.

Emily is survived by sons, James (Barbara) Stout, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Rodney (Marlene) Stout, of Gallipolis, OH ; her brothers, John (Betty) Barry, of Kansas City, Missouri and Jim (Ida) Barry, of Springfield, Missouri ;  several sisters-in-law and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Loren Stout; her daughter, Diane Stephens; her brothers, Richard Barry, Paul Barry, Charles Barry, and Harold Barry.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, in Springfield, Missouri on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 12:00 PM. A visitation will take place prior to the service starting at 11:00 AM.
