Obituary

Emil (Buck) Dyck Jr. was born in Marion, Kansas September 23, 1926. He passed away June 25, 2023.

He served in the Navy during WWII. He married Lavona Kathryn Deichman August 16, 1945 and they were married 49 years until she died. His present wife is Eleanor Wagoner.

Buck worked in the oil fields and then for Cessna for 30 years. He volunteered as the Pink Elephant for the Shriners Circus, earning money for the Shriners Children's Hospitals. He retired to Shell Knob, MO and enjoyed boating and grilling. Buck loved Table Rock Lake and taught several grandchildren how to ski. He enjoyed living a great life in Springfield with Eleanor.

He was preceded in death by parents Emil Dyck, Sr. and Mary Remple Dyck, wife Lavona Deichman Dyck and son John Emil Dyck.

Buck is survived by brother Richard Dyck; daughter Kathy Dyck Whitman, daughter Joy Willson, son and daughter-in-law Brian and Tammy Dyck; grandchildren Mica and Paul Petersen, Kim Moncibais, John Dyck, Darrick Dyck, Kayla Dyck and Jordan and Tyler Farson; step grandchildren Taffy and Nolan Nichols, Jacob and Beth Wilson and Jesse and Cat Wilson; great grandchildren Bailey King, Rigney Petersen, Camden Moncibais, Philip Petersen, Mary Claire Petersen, Pike Petersen and step great grandchildren Logan Wilson, Gauge Nichols, Maddox Nichols, Katelyn Wilson, Wyatt Wilson, Brooklyn Nichols, Ryder Wilson and several nieces and nephews including Laresa Evans Step Children and Grands Mickey Wagoner and Greg Tennant, Mike and Nancy Wagoner, Shelley Weilert, Tana and Terry Fulton, Mark and Tammy Wagoner and Angela Austin; grands Kristi Jones, Kimberly Tennant, Emmy and Scott Henson, Nikki and Eric Smith, Nick and Sam, Korriene, Ryan, Evan, Brandon, Devin and Charlsey, Mike, Haylee and Joseph, Brianna, Olivia and Sydney; great grands Maverik, Emrey, Rylan, Dylan, Milanna, Gage, LillyAnn, Samual, Oliver, Talon, Torin, Tyson, Marty, Jace, Dash, Ellie, Zane, Sidney and Ryder, Stacy Davis, Steven, Alexzandria,Clarissa,Carter

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 6-8 PM in Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be Friday, July 7, 2023 at 3 PM at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita, Kansas.
