Ellen "Lou" Brayfield, 79 of Springfield, MO passed away December 10, 2022 at Lakewood Assisted Living.  She was born October 8, 1943 in Clinton, MO to Lester and Mable Hendrix.  Lou was united in marriage to Wesley Brayfield on December 19, 1970.  Lou owned and operated AB&B Heating & Cooling until she retired.  Lou was the team captain of our American Diabetes walks along with putting on an auction for many years to raise money.  She also enjoyed bowling and listening to music played by her loving husband.  She is preceded in death by her parents & her husband.  Lou is survived by her daughters, Carrie Courtois & Nancy Steele (Mark) all of Springfield, MO, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a faithful dog, Lilly.  Visitation will be held at Gorman-Scharpf, Friday, December 16, 2022 from 4-6 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Seasons Hospice or to Lakewood Assisted Living.
