Ella Louise McGee Rainey, 71, Springfield, passed away April 9, 2016.

Ella was born on July 17, 1944 in Portageville, MO the daughter of Josie Askew and Morris McGee, Sr.

She was married to James I. Rainey, now gone to Heaven. They both left behind four children, Steven Rainey, Constance Rainey, Gregory Rainey and Douglas Rainey; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She had a total of eleven siblings, of which four sisters are still living.

She enjoyed bingo and spending time with family.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2015 at Freedom Southern Baptist with the Rev. Leo King officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.

The death of a mother is the hardest to bear for she is the one who is there for us the most. In her life she has shown her daughter and sons a path to follow and now she is resting in God's embrace. Her daughter and sons look forward to the day they will be reunited.
