Elizabeth Poole, 91, Springfield, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in Woodland Manor. She was born December 9, 1918 in Springfield to Fred and Zella Martin. She attended Lincoln High School in Springfield before moving to Los Angeles, CA when she was 16 years old. She returned to Springfield six years ago. She was a faithful member of New Hope International Ministries in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of more than thirty years, Ruthen, and her brother Fred Martin, Jr. She is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and a nephew. Also surviving are many very good friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 24, 2010 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with the Reverend Lamarr Jamerson, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Inglewood California at a later date. No visitation is planned, however, friends may call after noon Sunday in the funeral home.
