Elizabeth Patterson, 58, of Springfield, passed away at 8:45 PM on May 29, 2022 in her home with her husband and daughters by her side. She was born August 16, 1963 in Elmhurst, IL to William and Denise Atwood.

She loved to plant flowers, play with her grandchildren and go on trips to Jamaica.

She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Steven Atwood; stepdaughter, Lindsey Underwood and sister-in-law, Patty Boone.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Patterson; daughters Bethany (Mark) Asbell and Brandy (Jon) Mahan; mother, step mother, Patricia Atwood; brothers Scott Atwood, Tim (Christina) Atwood and Tony Altvare; sisters Margie Lusk, Gina (John) Finstrom, Holly (Derek) Peterson, Tara (Chris) Ayars, Deana (James) Cox and Dori (Buck) Adkison; grandchildren Aidan, Maylee, Abby, Caleb, Audra, DruAnne, Kelsey and Shaun, 4 great grandchildren and several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be at 1:30 PM on Saturday, June 11 also at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lodge in St. Louis, MO or the American Cancer Society.
